Good Evening Highlander. I'm a man of my word so here goes........
Ive got problems again I'm afraid. I will try to explain simply....... If you have any ideas,I would welcome any help.
Well I re-installed itunes and quicktime and the ez vinyl converter and things are working again but I've noticed a sound reduction (just the volume of the actual recorded rips) My default media player is on full volume. Double clicking on "Sounds" on the bottom of my windows xp taskbar, all the bars are on full volume in volume control too except one called SPDIF which 1) I don't know what it is and 2) I haven't got the option on move the slider up. Its exactly the same in recording control too (that SPDIF slider ect) I don't know if that has anything to do with the problem or not to be honest
In itunes and volume is also set in full volume.
I've tried ripping identical tracks which are on the computer already and they are definately coming out on a lower volume. I even did a system restore for a few days ago but when I did,all yesterdays problems came back so I reversed this and it all worked again. The sound problem remains though.
All my other computer sounds (when I play older stuff ect) seem to be working just fine so I'm baffled. I really am a computer simpleton I'm afraid : - (
Just to say I've discovered a programme called MP3Gain which is so easy to use, even I can use it and it seems to be solving my unsolved problems (for now : - )
Longy - you're working way too late into the night for me to keep up. If you're going along fine with MP3Gain then I'll sit tight. But if you need any pointers with Audacity then let me know.
